A Serb Who Is Moving the Horizons of Science
Mr. Vladimir Rekovic, PhD, a scientist working at CERN, Geneva and a former student of Uzice Grammar School, visited us in January this year to give two presentations on the discovery of the standard model (SM) Higgs Boson and join us in the celebration of St. Sava’s Day. It is little known that Mr. Rekovic is one of the few physicists from Serbia who has been directly involved in the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. We definitely could not miss the opportunity to talk with him about his work in Switzerland, his high school days and life abroad.
